Sweet Potato Sausage Bites Recipe

Prep Time: 20 minutes | Cook Time: 20 mins | Serves: 12-15


Ingredients:

  • 1 pound sweet sausage, casings removed

  • 2 1/4 c. Bisquick, (flour can also be used)

  • 8 oz extra-sharp cheddar cheese, pre-shredded

  • 1/2 c. mashed sweet potatoes

  • 1 egg

  • 1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon

  • 1/8 tsp. Kosher salt


Let's Get Started!

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a baking sheet.

  2. Mix together sausage, Bisquick, cheese, mashed sweet potatoes, egg, cinnamon and salt in a large bowl. (1 lb. sausage, 2-1/4 c. Bisquick, 8 oz. shredded cheddar cheese,1/2 c. mashed sweet potatoes, 1 egg, 1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon, 1/8 tsp. Kosher salt)

  3. Roll into 40 (1 1/2 inch) balls, and place 1 inch apart on your prepared baking sheet. Bake in oven for about 20 minutes until sausage is cooked through and golden brown.

  4. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce. (I like to use pepper jam.)
