½ c. half/half
¼ c. sugar
½ c. brown sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
¼ tsp. ground cloves
¼ tsp. ground ginger
¼ tsp. ground nutmeg
2 tsp. vanilla extract

1/2 c. butter, melted
2 eggs, beaten
Let's Get Started!

Step 2: Boil sweet potatoes for 20 minutes or until fork tender. Remove from water and let them cool. Peel the skin off the potatoes and place the insides in a large bowl.
Step 3: Mash the potatoes with a potato masher and break up any large chunks. Add in the half/half, then mix until creamy.
Step 4: Mix in the brown sugar, white sugar, remaining spices, and butter. Add in the flour to thicken and mix well. Give the mixture a quick taste to make sure it is sweet enough.
Step 5: Using a mixer, add in the eggs and mix well, for about 2 minutes. Spoon mixture into a 9x9 inch pan. Set aside.

Jazz It up!
It's already sassy but here's some ways to jazz it up even more:
Mix-Ins
Citrus: add some personality by incorporating orange or lemon zest for a refreshing twist.
Nuts: sprinkle chopped and toasted pecans or walnuts over the crumble topping for a satisfying crunch
Rum or Bourbon: enhance the depth of flavor by adding a tablespoon of rum or bourbon to the sweet potato mixture. The alcohol content bakes off, leaving a rich and aromatic essence.
Toppings
Coconut Flakes: sprinkle unsweetened coconut flakes over the crumble topping for subtle sweetness
Cream Cheese Swirl: create a marbled effect by swirling a cream cheese mixture into the sweet potato layer before adding the crumble topping. This adds a tangy element to balance the sweetness.
Spiced Whipped Cream: serve with a dollop of spiced whipped cream on top. Simply mix whipped cream with a dash of cinnamon or nutmeg for an extra layer of flavor.
Maple Glaze: add a luxurious touch by drizzling a maple syrup glaze over the finished casserole
Caramelized Brown Butter: brown the butter before adding it to the sweet potato mixture for a nutty & caramelized flavor
Elevating the Presentation
Holidays are all about good food & gathering. Impress your guests with these simple ways to elevate your table setting
Individual Servings: portion the casserole into individual ramekins or small serving dishes to create an elegant & personalized presentation
Edible Flowers: place a few edible flowers, like pansies or nasturtiums, on each serving for a gorgeous garnish (perfect for Easter dinner!)
Chocolate Drizzle: drizzle melted chocolate in a pretty pattern over the top of the crumble for a decadent touch. (works especially well if you've added a hint of citrus to the sweet potato mixture)
Powdered Sugar: dust the finished casserole with powdered sugar just before serving for a classic touch.
Ice Cream: accompany the warm casserole with a scoop of vanilla or cinnamon ice cream.
Wine Pairing: complement the flavors with a dessert wine, such as a late-harvest Riesling or a sweet Moscato
Save Some For Later
Storing
Cool to room temperature, cover with plastic wrap or aluminum foil & put in fridge within 2 hours of baking.
Reheating
Oven: preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the covered casserole in the oven and reheat for about 20-25 minutes or until warmed through. For individual servings, use a covered oven-safe dish.
Microwave Method: for individual portions, transfer to a microwave-safe dish. Reheat in the microwave in 1-minute intervals, stirring in between, until heated thoroughly.
Broil: if the topping got soggy, crisp it up by broiling for a couple minutes after reheating
Garnishes: put fresh ones on top to give your sassy sweet potato casserole a face-lift
