Serves: 4-6 | Prep Time: 10 mins | Cook Time: 10 mins
Ingredients:
6 slices of bread
2 eggs
½ c. half and half
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 T. brown sugar, packed
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
cooking oil of choice
2T. butter or spread
Let's Get Started!
Step 1: In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, half/half, vanilla, brown sugar, and cinnamon until smooth. Set aside.
Step 2: Preheat a large cooking pan over medium to low heat. Add a small amount of cooking oil and spread it evenly in the pan.
Step 3: Working with one slice at a time, dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture and flip until it is nicely soaked. Then place battered bread into the oiled pan and cook for about 2-3 minutes or until each side is lightly brown and the center is firm.
Step 4: Repeat the batter and cooking process with the remaining bread.
Step 5: Lightly butter each piece of cooked French toast, then sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Enjoy!
