Cinnamon Apples

Breakfast or dessert, these cinnamon apples will bring you some happiness!



Cinnamon Apple Recipe

Prep time:  20 mins. | Cook time:  45 mins. | Serves:  8


Ingredients

  • 6 c. apples, peeled, cored, and sliced

  • ¼ c. sugar

  • ¼ c. brown sugar

  • 1 T. corn starch

  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon

  • ½ tsp. ground nutmeg

  • 2 T. sour cream

  • 1 T. lemon juice

  • 2 T. butter, sliced thin


Let's Get Started!

Step 1: Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees, and grease an 8x8 baking dish with cooking spray

Step 2:  Add the sliced apples to a bowl

Step 3:  In a separate bowl, mix sugar, brown sugar, corn starch, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Step 4:  Add the sugar mixture, sour cream, and lemon juice to the apples, then mix well.

Step 5:  Pour the apple mixture into the greased baking dish and top with the sliced butter.

Step 6:  Bake the apples at 375 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes or until the apples are tender and bubbling.  Stir the apples halfway through the cooking process.


How To Serve

  • Serve with breakfast
