Jazz It Up!
Instead of rotisserie chicken, try grilling chicken breasts/thighs and then shredding or chopping them for a smokier flavor
Switch up the toppings! If you have guests, offer a selection of shredded cheeses, sliced green onion, or even diced avocado
Garnishes
Cilantro: fresh & vibrant herbal note
Sliced Jalapenos: add an extra kick of spice to your chicken chili
Sour Cream: add a nice dollop
Crushed Tortilla Chips: sprinkle on top to add a crunchy element
Beans
White beans are my favorite for this recipe, but here are some more variations to try:
Cannellini Beans: most similar to white beans, offer a creamy mild taste
Black Beans: a slightly firmer texture & an earthy flavor
Pinto Beans: a creamy texture & a mild earthy taste
Kidney Beans: robust flavor & smooth texture that adds a hearty element
Beans: slightly sweet flavor & smooth texture
Suggested Sides
Cornbread: sweet and crumbly texture complements the hearty chili
Salad: a fresh mixed greens salad brings freshness and balance to the table
Tortilla Strips: give a satisfying crunch
Cilantro Rice: complement the flavors of chicken chili well
