Brown Sugar Glazed Ham Recipe
Prep: 20 mins. | Cook time: 2 hrs. | Servings: 25
Ingredients:
1/4 c. unsalted butter
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. honey
2 T. Dijon mustard
1/4 c. pineapple juice
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. paprika
cooking spray
8-10 lbs. spiral sliced bone in ham, fully cooked
Let's Get Started!
In a large saucepan over a medium heat, melt the butter then whisk in brown sugar, honey, mustard, pineapple juice, garlic powder and paprika until combined. Let mixture cook for 5-7 minutes until it bubbles and slightly thickens, then remove from heat. Mixture will continue to thicken as it stands.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line and cover a 9x13 pan with foil going up the sides. Then spray with cooking spray.
Position the ham cut side down in the pan.
Brush 1/3 of the glaze over the top of the ham. Bake for 1 1/2 hours, then increase the oven to 425 degrees F and brush ham again with half of the remaining glaze.
Bake for an additional 15 minutes, then brush ham with remaining glaze. Place the ham under the broiler for 3-4 minutes to caramelize the glaze.
Let ham rest for 10 minutes before serving.
